The book tells you most of what happened to get to the US.  After we arrived we were in bad shape and as the book pointed out we struggled to get settled in.  Life seemed to be against us at that time.  At the very end of 2020, we both got Covid really bad and that caused another delay in our container arrival.  We did manage to rescue a cat that we found a good home for.  

In April SAP announced they were closing the office in Arizona and I (along with a lot of other people) were laid off.  At the end of April Eva’s father died and she could not go to the funeral.

I did find a new job and Eva focused on our new pack and helping other dogs needing rescue.  

We started our pack with Alma in September 2020 and added Cass in January 2021.
